Story time with Kenya.

I remember when I was about 9. I went to visit my cousin in Wisconsin, it was my first time there. And my cousin, who is about 9 months older than me, had this friend who was older than her. Everyday her friend would come over to the house, and one day, we decided to listen to music and sing.

And they were singing, “Reflection.” However, when they were singing the Christina Aguilera version. I didn’t know existed at the time. And I was like, “Hey! I know this song.” 

And her friend was like, “Yeah, I doubt it. It just came out on the radio.”

And I tell her, “No, this is the song from Mulan. I know this song. The lyrics are just a bit different.”

Her friend then tells me, “No. You’re wrong. Christina Aguilera wrote this song. And it’s her song.”

And I’m like, “It’s in the movie and it’s Disney’s.” 

She then tells me, “No. It’s not. I’m older than you. So, I’m right.”
